I just started dosing a modified PPS-Pro regiment instead of EI because I didn’t like the massive weekly water changes, plus the idea of overloading my water column with extra ferts just seemed wasteful. (yeah, I get why, but, not for me…)

I’ve been using these DIY Micros and Macros for about a week and I feel that plant growth has stabilized. I’m sure it’s a little too early to tell, but I’m happier putting less into my planted tank and my livestock seem very happy.

I’m glad so many people on plantedtank.net recommended NilocG. I’ll be ordering from here, from now on.

Greatly increased plant growth after only 2 weeks. Ceratopteris thalictroides has really perked up, Cryptocoryne undulata took off, Hygrophila difformis is growing a 1/2″ a day!
